YomiCal (the "App") is an Android application provided by an individual developer (the "Developer"). This policy explains what information the App accesses and how it is used. If there is any discrepancy between this English translation and the Japanese version, the Japanese version prevails.
1. Information We Access
The App accesses the following information:
- Calendar information: The App reads calendar data on your Android device (including events synced from Google Calendar) in order to read it aloud.
- Notifications: The App uses the device's notification permission for event notifications and the snooze feature.
2. How Information Is Handled
- Calendar information accessed by the App is processed only on your device and is never sent to or stored on any external server.
- The App does not share any information with the Developer or with third parties.
- Text-to-speech (TTS) uses the Android feature built into your device, and the content being read is not sent externally.
- In-app purchases are made through Google Play. Payment details (such as card numbers) are processed by Google and are never received by the Developer or the App. The App communicates with Google Play only to check whether the purchase has been made.
- The trial start date and purchase status are stored only on your device.

- Foreground service: to read out events reliably in the background
- Google Play billing: for the in-app purchase and to check whether it has been made
4. Note on Read-outs
The App reads the contents of your calendar events aloud. Depending on your surroundings, people nearby may hear what is read. When using the App in public or shared spaces, please be considerate by adjusting the volume or using earphones.
